Master of Science, Licensed Mental Health Counselor

A.J. Conley, MS, LMHC

Before I began on my path as a mental health counselor, I was a first responder for over 13 years. During that time, I had the privilege of witnessing the many ways life experiences can shape who we are and how we move through the world. I’ve seen how the things we carry—whether from work, relationships, family, life transitions, or difficult experiences—can ripple into our relationships, home life, sense of identity, and overall well-being.

These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the complexity of being human and the importance of having a place where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. I bring that perspective into the counseling process, meeting you where you are and working alongside you to better understand your experiences, navigate challenges, and move toward the life you want to build.

I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Somatic Counseling. I specialize in supporting women navigating life transitions and burnout, as well as women working in first responder, medical, and other male-dominated fields. My past counseling experience includes working with individuals over the age of 18 from diverse backgrounds on concerns including PTSD, substance use disorder recovery, anger management, anxiety, depression, and attachment wounds. I’ve done extensive trainings in EMDR, integrated somatic counseling practices, trauma-informed counseling, and women’s issues.
